I have chosen North Park Christian Academy. There were quite a few reasons why I actually chose North Park over The Early Learning Center.
- I attended North Park back in the day - some 13ish years ago - and I have incredibly fond memories of the school.
- When I looked online to get information about the programs, TheELC had information about registration, but not regarding the length, times, or days of the classes. North Park had a full tuition schedule posted along with days and times.
- When I called each of the programs I was transferred to a human at North Park and at TheELC I left a message and still have not heard back.
- North Park uses a true school curriculum for even the Pre-K 3 class. TheELC does not. They use Lifeway... or something like that. Not a curriculum that I have heard of before.
- At TheELC you either go 2 or 3 days a week from 8am - 2pm. At North Park the Pre-K3 go M-W-F, from 8:30am-11:30am. I am ALL for half days at this young age.
- At North Park the teacher to class ratio is 1:5 approximately. At TheELC the teacher to class ratio is 1:10 approximately.
- At North Park the students wear uniforms, which is more money. At TheELC they don't have uniforms... depending on how you feel about the uniform situation is whether that's a bonus or not to you. To me it does not matter either way.
- My Grandparents and both of my Aunt's families live a hop, skip, and a jump away from North Park. We however live close to TheELC, but if I get this job I am interviewing for on Friday, my work will be closer to North Park too and she will be there while I am at work. That's a BIG plus!
Now you might be thinking that I was initially biased to North Park and honestly maybe I was, but I did fair research into both. If there was a better place for my Audrey to go then that's where I want to send her but for now I think that North Park Christian Academy is the place for her to be.
