My daughter's new favorite movies...

So my daughter has a few new favorite movies that I even caught myself enjoying today. Barbie FairytopiaBarbie Fairytopia - Mermaidia, and Barbie Fairytopia - Magic of the Rainbow are her movies of choice recently and I have to say they are REALLY cute! I even get into them. The "bad fairy" isn't really that bad, it teaches a really good lesson by the end of the movie, and Barbie always saves the day! I completely recommend these movies if your little girl is looking for a change of pace. My daughter is 2 1/2 and she LOVES them. She will sit through the entire movie. That's about the only time she will cuddle with me anymore... unfortunately. We were at dance tonight - it's a Mommy & Me class - and she told me that she does not want me to dance with her anymore that she wants to do it by herself. She is becoming SO independent - Oh My Goodness. Anyway, check out the movies. They are presh!

Great Customer Service is not dead!

For the past week after my daughter wakes up from her nap I have let her have a mini bag of Orville Redenbacher's Kettle Korn Mini Bag Popcorn and her Juicy Juice. Well unfortunately my experience with the popcorn was less than ideal. All but one of the bags of popcorn popped less than half of the kernels :( . Yep, I read the directions and did exactly as directed per wattage of our microwave. I also even popped one of the bags longer thinking that would work but it only burned the already popped popcorn. I decided that since only ONE bag popped half of the kernels... and that's all, that I would write customer service. So I did and within one business day I heard back from them! They were very kind! I am SO pleased that they are willing to make it right and for that they will continue to have my business... and hopefully all of my readers as well! Great customer service goes a long way in my book! Thanks Orville Redenbacher!

Sitting, Waiting, Wishing...

I have my personal reasons for loving that song by Jack Johnson, but aside from a song title that seems to be exactly what I am doing. I have yet to hear back from the company I had the interview with on Friday, but I won't loose hope. I applied for 3 more jobs today; great jobs in fact! I would be incredibly pleased if I get any of the positions that I have applied for so far! Since I have been sitting, waiting, wishing... I have also had time to play with my daughter and browse the internet! I found more uniforms that will fit her and they are half the price of Gymboree! However Gymboree does offer a wider variety of colors... I will just buy the red from them! I am so excited! Here are the shirts!

Sooo cute huh? I thought so too! Of course white is not my preferred choice for a 2 year old, but they have a light blue that she will look beautiful in as well as a navy blue!

Good night darlings!

School Uniforms... seriously?

So the title to this post might be a tad misleading because I am ALL for school uniforms. What blows my mind is imagining watching my daughter walk into class with her backpack, her little uniform, and shoes. Then I got to thinking about where I would buy school uniforms that small! She wears 2T & 3T depending on the clothing item. So I looked on Land's End, but they were all the boy cut type polos and shorts. Then I remembered seeing them at Gymboree!!! They are a little expensive BUT they always have coupons in Parents magazine and since I know she is going to need them I will wait for a 'Fill A Bag' sale, where anything that fits in the bag is 30% off. I could wait till tax free weekend but then with my luck they would be out of all size 3 stuff. Then of course I went to Stride Rite to look for shoes and of course they have adorable shoes that would match. Here is what I have found so far...
I love this!

She looks good in Red!

And of course probably Auds favorite because she loves dresses!

Seriously anyone who knows my child can see her in these outfits! I honestly get a little choked up thinking about how adorable and big girl she is going to look! It makes me so happy though that she wants to go to school! She is such a big girl! <3

As for shoes, these are the ones I like... and I am sure her Aunts will want her to have a pair of Sperry's if we can find them in her size... seriously.

So those are just my thoughts! They did have some adorable red keds too! I will just have to see what they have in her size at the time!

Okay goodnight y'all I am tired!

Museum School!

So next school year my daughter is going to be a busy little bee. I have decided not only to sign her up for the Pre-K3 class at North Park Christian Academy, but I have also decided that I will be signing her up for Museum School too (in our area)! This idea came about after talking with my aunt whose children has been doing museum school for a long time now! My daughter loves being around people and I think she will have a blast! I am still considering one more idea, Zoo School, but I will save that for Summer! Audrey still wants to take dance, of course, that's in her blood and she loves swim lessons at Aqua Kids! She has done Mommy & Me 1 & 2 and we just started 3 this past Saturday! This semester of swim will be fun for Audrey because she graduates from Mommy being in the water with her to just her being in the water with the teacher and other kids. I am so excited to see how much she grows and develops this year!

I have been looking at Vera Bradley backpacks for my little one's school in the fall! I know I know it's a little premature... I did not say I have bought anything yet, I said I was just looking! Also considering Pottery Barn Kids for backpacks too!

Favorite Sites..

So I guess I am a little behind on the trend but my new favorite site is Pinterest! I <3 it because everything I love I can "Pin" and have it in one place so that I don't forget what I like! I makes shopping online so much easier. I can compare colors, textures, prices... it's great!

Here are a list of sites that have become very helpful to me the past couple years:

Opinion Outpost - My favorite survey site. I recently checked how much I have made from them and as of today it's $528.20! That's a lot of money!
Hunt 4 Freebies - This site post amazing freebies all the time!!
Free Stuff Times - I have been following this site for 3 years now! I love this site.

Job Interview: Day 1

I went for my job interview today for a company that will remain unnamed just in case I get the very desirable position. I feel good about how I answered the questions. I did not get nervous, which is funny because I never do in situations like that, so I cannot say I think it went one way or another. It just went. I was told I will know something by early next week. I am excited and still shopping around of course, just in case this falls through. I am going to remain optimistic and hopeful though. I really want a good health insurance plan for me and Audrey. I really want money so I can take Audrey to do fun things and eventually buy a house that I am so desperately planning for already. I mean really I am already decorating in my head. Forget weddings, I want a home to decorate. I want a backyard for Audrey. I want Audrey to have her own room; her own space.

I guess for now dreaming is all I can do, but it's sure motivation to find a job. I found a few more online that are promising too, well hopefully. So I guess I better get to bed, we have swim class in the morning! YAY!

I have officially decided to put Audrey in a Pre-k class for 3 years old...

I was debating whether to put her in some sort of class or not for Pre-K when she turns 3 and because my daughter is such a people person, I have decided that it's what I feel is best for her. There were two places that I was considering...

I have chosen North Park Christian Academy. There were quite a few reasons why I actually chose North Park over The Early Learning Center.
  1. I attended North Park back in the day - some 13ish years ago - and I have incredibly fond memories of the school.
  2. When I looked online to get information about the programs, TheELC had information about registration, but not regarding the length, times, or days of the classes. North Park had a full tuition schedule posted along with days and times.
  3. When I called each of the programs I was transferred to a human at North Park and at TheELC I left a message and still have not heard back.
  4. North Park uses a true school curriculum for even the Pre-K 3 class. TheELC does not. They use Lifeway... or something like that. Not a curriculum that I have heard of before.
  5. At TheELC you either go 2 or 3 days a week from 8am - 2pm. At North Park the Pre-K3 go M-W-F, from 8:30am-11:30am. I am ALL for half days at this young age.
  6. At North Park the teacher to class ratio is 1:5 approximately. At TheELC the teacher to class ratio is 1:10 approximately.
  7. At North Park the students wear uniforms, which is more money. At TheELC they don't have uniforms... depending on how you feel about the uniform situation is whether that's a bonus or not to you. To me it does not matter either way.
  8. My Grandparents and both of my Aunt's families live a hop, skip, and a jump away from North Park. We however live close to TheELC, but if I get this job I am interviewing for on Friday, my work will be closer to North Park too and she will be there while I am at work. That's a BIG plus!

Now you might be thinking that I was initially biased to North Park and honestly maybe I was, but I did fair research into both. If there was a better place for my Audrey to go then that's where I want to send her but for now I think that North Park Christian Academy is the place for her to be.

So I received great news today!

I have an interview on Friday for the job I applied for on the 2nd of this month... so two days ago! I am so thrilled and sad. I cried today. If I get this job it will change my life drastically. I will be more independent, which is a total plus, but at the same time I will be going from a single stay at home mommy to a single working mommy. I cried a few tears about that today, but I will be able to save up for a house for me and Audrey. I can afford things, nice things... fun things for me and Audrey. Our lives will change so much and overall I am very happy because this is what I have wanted. It's what I have needed... now to get the job! I am going shopping with my sisters tomorrow to get a snazzy interview outfit. I have to study up tonight on the company and a few computer programs, but I can do it! I have to do it. Audrey is depending on me as her mother to support her. This is my job.

Now on to fun and exciting things: I have picked out a bedroom set I want for Audrey's big girl room, when we have a place of our own...

I <3 this set... really I do!

This is the bedding set I like:

I like this because there are so many colors!
I am hoping to have my brother paint a few small canvases to go on her wall that match her bedding!

One day all this will be possible... until then I just keep dreamin'.

Giveaway may be in order!

I just found out from Purex that they will be sending coupons out for a free pack of...

I am so excited! This will be my VERY first give away! I just recently tried and reviewed

so I cannot wait to get my hands (and your hands too) on the easy little action packs!
Thanks Purex!

Review of Purex Triple Action liquid!!

Thanks to Purex, I was given the amazing opportunity to review a new detergent to hit the shelves early this year! I am so excited to tell you that I LOVE it! It worked wonders on my 2 year old messy clothes and tough stains and let me tell ya, she can do some serious damage but her clothes came out looking beautifully!

Here is what the bottle looks like! I love the "face lift"!

I tried the Free & Clear version because my daughter has very sensitive skin and guess what it was so gentle, she never broke out! Yay! Now her detergent does not have to cost me a fortune and gets tough stains out as well! If you know anyone with sensitive skin give this a try. It's a huge money saver and when you are a single mom like me that means a lot!

Thanks Purex for another GREAT product!

I was supplied a full sized sample from Purex in order to try and review!

Christmas a few days late!

I had an amazing Christmas! I got a bunch of great things! I recently found out that I get one more gift, a "big gift" and I have officially decided what I want it to be...

For my birthday my daughter got me this set...
with the help of my mom of course! Either way I am in love with them!

So nice I have nice dinnerware for Christmas & whenever! I am really excited about all the colors in the dinnerware that I am getting for Christmas - "Kaleidoscopic", that means my kitchen will be fun and loud, with tons of color options! I have found a few items I will be purchasing since I figured out what dinnerware I wanted... here are a few...

I think they will look fabulous! I am so stoked!

New Year, New Opportunities!

I love blogging but I don't do it as often as I would like. I seem to find other things that preoccupy my time. This year however is an entirely new year. I am looking for a job, which is exciting and sad; exciting because I get to go back to work and I love being around people, but sad because even more than loving to be around people I love to be with my daughter! I will be so sad to have to leave her but at the same time there are so many opportunities for her too! I am thinking about putting her in a MDO (mother's day out) program for a few hours a couple days a week! That is still in the works though. This year I am also going to start crafting more, for me, even if it has to be on weekends when my little one is asleep! I will be making something tonight. I will post a picture later. For now, here begins the 365 days of me.

Things to accomplish:
Find a job
Take more pictures
Save money
